You are the center of all we do, and we’re committed to providing unique educational experiences to empower you to learn, grow, and explore.
Let’s be honest, this is a really challenging and overwhelming time, but we’ve been working diligently with our partners, to create educational resources that you can use while learning from home.
Educational programming has always been essential to the mission of WTCI-PBS. In this unique learning environment, our over-the-air educational content is more important than ever.
In addition to our 24/7 PBS KIDS broadcast on 45.3, WTCI is partnering again with PBS stations across the state of Tennessee and the Tennessee Department of Education to broadcast daytime instructional lessons for the fall semester.
The TNDOE is offering instructional lessons in Math and ELA for grades K-2 beginning September 8th, 2020. These lessons will be broadcasted on our main channel 45.1 from 10 AM to 12 PM Monday through Friday. In addition 4 hours of these lessons will be broadcasted from 2 AM to 6 AM Tuesday through Saturday to give families the opportunity to record the lessons the evening before.
You can find more information about this broadcast, including the schedule and supplemental activities, at the PBS Teaching Tennessee website. Additionally, if you are not able to access the broadcast, you can find past and current instructional videos at the TNDOE YouTube Channel under the PBS Teaching Tennessee Playlists.
