WTCI ANNOUNCES PAID HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – October 29, 2018 – WTCI invites applications from high school students for a paid internship supporting the community PBS station’s Emmy Award-winning production department. Successful candidates will demonstrate an interest in filmmaking, digital production and civic involvement. Candidates will be responsible for transportation to WTCI, at 7540 Bonnyshire Drive, to City Hall and to production filming sites during the internship period. Students will intern for a period of up to 80 hours through a three month contract at a rate of between $8 and $10 per hour.

Interns will learn from the community PBS station’s production team and gain skills and proficiency in script building, collecting graphics, producing informational video spots, setting up shoots, drafting interview questions and other important elements of digital broadcasting. Students will learn important digital production skills while supporting WTCI staff in filming weekly City Council meetings, producing informational spots and in creating promotional elements for local programming.
