WTCI TO BROADCAST 2018 SENATE AND GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION PROGRAMMING

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – September 25, 2018 – WTCI will broadcast “TN Senatorial Debate: Bredesen/Blackburn” on Tuesday, September 25 at 8 PM and on Thursday, September 27 at 8 PM. On October 4 at 8 PM WTCI will broadcast a locally-produced program, "Conversations with the Candidates: Karl Dean/Bill Lee” with an encore broadcast on Sunday, October 7 at 7 PM. The “Northeast Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate” will air on the Tennessee Valley’s community PBS station on Tuesday, October 9 at 8 PM and repeat on Sunday, October 14 at 7 PM.

WTCI reaches 1.4 million viewers and over 440,000 households in a 35-county area, including parts of Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina. Viewers throughout the region have access to the station’s main channel, 45.1, to the CREATE channel, 45.2, and to the quality, trusted PBS KIDS content available 24/7 at 45.3.

Viewers in the region can tune in to 45.2 to enjoy the following special broadcast events: The “Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate 2018” on October 6 at 5:30 PM and October 7 at 1:30 PM, the “Northeast Tennessee Gubernatorial Debate 2018” on October 13 at 5:30 PM and October 14 at 1:30 PM, and “Conversations with the Candidates: Karl Dean/Bill Lee” on October 20 at 5:30 PM and October 21 at 1:30 PM.
