CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – September 18, 2018 – WTCI will host Family Day, a FREE annual event, Sunday, November 11 from 1 to 4 pm at the Tennessee Valley’s community PBS station. Hosted at 7540 Bonnyshire Drive, behind the Bonny Oaks Drivers Service Center, this free event will have PBS fun, activities and entertainment for people of all ages.
Children of all ages will enjoy touring a Chattanooga Fire Department fire engine, facepainting, games, activities and demonstrations from our community education partners. Guests are invited to bring a gently-used book for a swap to benefit HCDE schools and a canned good item or new socks to support the Chattanooga Community Kitchen.
Green screen activities, storybook reading and music will entertain children and parents as they tour the community PBS station, engage in PBS KIDS activities and learn about PBSLearningMedia.org resources. Paul Grove, President and CEO of WTCI says, “Our team looks forward to hosting this event each year because it is an opportunity for WTCI to share the many free PBS resources that are available on-air and online with the families who can use them to support success in school and life.” Exhibitors and community partners interested in being a part of Family Day should contact Rachel Froug at rfroug@wtcitv.org or 423-702-7819.
